Studio Insights
📐 Stationary Efficiency
In this range, your fingers have "home addresses." By keeping Finger 1 over the 2nd string and Finger 2 over the 3rd, you eliminate the friction of searching for notes. You aren't reaching; you are already there.
⏳ Vertical Hand Alignment
As the right hand crosses more strings, maintain a strictly vertical plane. This refinement prevents the "swinging" motion that causes inconsistent tone, ensuring your apoyando and tirando strokes remain uniform.
🔔 The Strength Paradox
Remember the Golden Rule: curvature equals power. By maintaining the natural arch of the fingers on these higher strings, you engineer a clear, bell-like tone without having to press harder.
The Play along
I've found that at the begining of the learning journey it can be very helpful to have a recording to follow along. Remember that you can easily change YouTube video playback speed on any device by clicking the settings gear icon, selecting Playback speed, and choosing a different speed from the menu, or even setting a custom speed.
