I help students find their voice through the strings of a guitar. With a Doctorate in Music and a passion for student-centered learning, I combine world-class performance standards with an adaptive teaching style that prioritizes joy and resilience. Based in Basel and currently expanding my digital reach, I am ready to bring a fresh, modern perspective to your faculty.
The Artist: Performance & Collaboration
Maintaining a high level of personal artistry is the foundation of my teaching. These performances represent the technical standards and musicality I strive to instill in my students, ensuring they learn from an active, professional practitioner.
Music is a dialogue. I am an active chamber musician because I believe collaboration is the heart of musical growth. Whether performing with faculty or coaching student groups, I focus on the essential skills of active listening, cueing, and ensemble leadership
The Educator: Beyond the Classroom
I believe teaching is the privilege of helping someone find their own way. My role isn't just to provide information, but to help students process it and build the resilience needed to enjoy the journey. Whether I am working with a child taking their first steps or an adult refining their craft, I focus on adapting my style to the person in front of me—ensuring that every lesson is a step toward their specific goals and dreams.
The Sagreras Project: Modern Tools for Classical Tradition
To make high-level guitar pedagogy accessible, I created a digital studio featuring over 40 tutorials on the Sagreras Method. With over 174k+ views, this project is my way of supporting the global guitar community. I use these digital tools to bridge the gap between our weekly lessons and the student's practice at home, providing a constant resource that encourages steady, independent growth.
The University Guitar Orchestra
Directing a large ensemble is, for me, an exercise in collective listening. My work with the University Guitar Orchestra was focused on transforming a group of individual players into a single, cohesive voice. I see the conductor’s role as a facilitator—someone who creates the space and the structure for students to support one another. It is about more than rhythm and tempo; it is about building a community where every student understands their value within the whole.
Workshop & Group Management
Beyond the podium, I enjoy the logistical and pedagogical challenge of managing workshops and group classes. I believe that learning in a group setting fosters a unique kind of social resilience and shared joy that private lessons alone cannot provide. I am eager to bring this experience to the ensembles and group programs at schools and cultural institutions.
